On our life journey as daughters, many experiences leave us hurt, traumatized, and broken. Trauma disorganizes our brains and leaves us scrambling for answers. During this Daughters HEAL Retreat, we will engage in exercises designed to attend to these traumatized daughter parts in an effort to help you reorganize and put these pieces of you back together. This will create a beautiful mosaic.
Nurture, Protect, and Guide the daughter parts of you to heal.
Making space for you
This is a space to focus on your individual healing without feeling inhibited. The brain-body activities are intentionally designed to help move trauma through your body.
You will be invited to engage in meditation, somatic exercises, focused mindfulness, forgiveness/release ceremony, and create a plan for continued care for your daughter parts.
Journey to healing
The trauma you have experienced in your mother-daughter relationship creates right brain injury. In attending the Daughters HEAL Retreat, you will be afforded the opportunity to begin receiving the relational care necessary to help heal this relational injury within a group setting of 8-9 women that will create an experience where you will be physically and emotionally safe to experience nurturing, validation, and affirmation.
All-Inclusive Nurturing Activities
Your time here will be spent with inner reflection and healing. While in this space at the Daughters HEAL Retreat, you will have permission to welcome and attend to the daughter parts of you that have missed out on the core elements of mothering: nurturing, protection, and guidance.
A personal culinary expert will be preparing deliciously crafted dishes with precision.
Enrichment activities are created to take you deeper into your interpersonal journey to make space for reflection and healing
Take time to nourish your soul with time at the beach and restorative stretching exercises
Integrating the body to move through and release trauma.
Somatic Experiencing (SE)
We'll work together to notice, focus and release...
SE therapy is based on the idea that trauma is stored in the body as energy that has not been fully processed or released. This stored energy can manifest as physical symptoms, such as tension, pain, or discomfort, as well as emotional and behavioral problems. SE therapeutic exercises aim to help daughters release this stored energy and resolve underlying mother-daughter trauma.
Our eyes will guide us to find, focus, and free trapped memories...
Sometimes the brain’s processing capacity is overwhelmed by trauma, which can cause parts of your mother-daughter trauma to be frozen in an unprocessed state. Brainspotting uses our field of vision to find where we are holding these unprocessed traumas in the brain. During Brainspotting the eyes serve as a scanner that helps to guide the brain to find lost internal information and process it.
Internal Family Systems
You will find and connect with our inner daughter parts
IFS takes the time to help you explore the part of you, for example, that still loves your mother or the part of you that gets angry at your mother. IFS works to assist you in addressing all your thoughts, feelings, or parts to get to know your system of parts better. The goal of IFS is to help you develop a strong and healthy sense of self and to create more inner harmony and balance. It is a holistic approach that recognizes the complexity of the human psyche and seeks to help you integrate all aspects of your being in a way that promotes healing your mother-daughter wounds.

An Atmosphere conducive for healing
My name is Ann Dillard
I'm so excited to welcome you to this retreat. Especially curated for your healing experience to acknowledge, identify and work with the parts of you that are still hurting from mother-daughter trauma. This retreat is inclusive and while my faith in God and my Christianity influence the way that I show up in all areas of my life, it is important to know that this is not an evangelical retreat. Even with all my clinical training, years of experience, and education, I could do nothing without the help of God. Participants from any religious persuasion are invited to attend.
